GSM / Wifi network diagnostics for Blackberry

IMPORTANT: Set all application permissions to ALLOW in install dialog!
Supported devices: All GSM Blackberrys with OS 5.0 or higher. It will NOT run and crash on CDMA Blackberrys like 9530, 9550!
What is this?
Network Information
- Speed: Current speed above ground (if GPS available)
- Device: Shows what the device is capable of. 3G for new devices, 2G for older ones.
- Net: Current network carrier/operator (same as on main screen) and the country code returned by the network
- Connection: Current connection, one of 3G, EDGE or GPRS
Services: C=city zone, H=home zone, R=roaming, V=voice, D=data services.
- Signal: Signal strength in dBm ranging from -40 (very good) to -121 (very bad), normal levels are between -76 and -92, if lower the current coverage is very bad.
- MCC: Mobile Country Code, basically a country code for wireless networks. For example: 262=Germany 310=US
- MNC: Mobile Network Code, identifies a carrier together with MCC uniquely. (complete list of MCC/MNC tuples on wikipedia)
- LAC: Location Area Code, current location area inside carriers's network
- CellId: current base station id
Wifi / WLAN
- Channel: Currently used Wifi channel. More here: Wikipedia 802.11
- AP MAC: Access point MAC Address
- Profile: The name the wifi network is saved on the device. (null if not saved)
- Datarate: AP's datarate
- Radioband: Radioband / Standard used
- Security: Wifi Security used e.g. WPA, WEP etc. Important: Currently it can only shows "none (open)" or "unknown" (when there is some kind of security applied)
- SSID: Network's name
- Local IP: IP address for this wireless connection
- Signal: Signal strength chart ranging from about -30 dBm (very good) to -121 (very bad)
Network Monitor
- Charts of packets sent or received. Please note that small traffic might not show up or only as 1 pixel values.
